GE Fanuc has designed and manufactured the IC600YB915 Type 1 Axis Positioning Module for applications where the precise positioning of a mobile device or machine part is of utmost importance. This solid-state module uses a position encoder device that is known as a resolver to receive feedback about the relative position of a mobile element in the system with respect to the central part of the machine which is also known as point zero. The GE Fanuc IC600YB915 Type 1 Axis Positioning Module comes from the factory with a predefined set of customizable parameters, including programmable acceleration and deceleration ramp parameters, programmable position loop gain parameters, position parameters, speed parameters, and acceleration limit parameters.

 

The GE Fanuc IC600YB915 Type 1 Axis Positioning Module features a normally open relay contact that works in a 24 Volts DC related circuit with a maximum 1-Amp output that is only for resistive loads. The module can connect to a negative over travel switch on the left side of the central position switch (also known as the home position switch) and it can connect to a positive over travel switch on the right side of the central position switch. The home position switch is built directly into the module and it will be on when the device senses the movable element to be in the negative position relative to the home position, and it will be off when the moveable element is in the positive position relative to the home position. The GE Fanuc IC600YB915 Type 1 Axis Positioning Module can be supplied with power from a GE Model 60 CPU power source when using the GE Series 6 PLC backplane connection. The GE Series 6 PLC is a sturdy and versatile industrial control system that can be used in a wide variety of industrial applications, especially for monitoring and control machinery applications within motion control systems.
