The IC660BBR101 is a Normally Open Relay Output Block manufactured by GE Fanuc. The block comes with 16 output circuits grouped into four groups, each with four outputs. Each output can be powered by either AC or DC. Because of its normally open design, the block’s contacts are separated by default until power is applied to close the gap existing between circuit components.
The relay block has a rated voltage of 115 VAC, which is the factory setting, to 230 VAC. The voltage selection is made possible by jumpers located on the block’s assembly. The block runs on a load current of 2 Amps. Output circuit group isolation is 1500VAC. IC660BBR101 is useful in a variety of low power applications such as relays, lamps, and contactors.
A handheld monitor is used for customization of the relay output. This includes setting up defaults for power-up output actions, reverting to factory settings if there is electrical communication interference, and selecting redundancy types. The block can alternatively be used as a bus switching module (BSM).
LEDs on the block display the status of the unit as well as input and output conditions. A blinking LED indicates a fault in the circuit. When the LED is OFF, the block is faulty and/or not drawing power. A simple LED ON indicates optimum performance. If a normally closed relay block is preferred, consider the IC660BBR100 relay output block.

The GE Fanuc IC660BBR101 output block is a normally open output block from the GE Fanuc Genius I-O series. The IC660BBR101 output block has 16 outputs. These outputs are divided into 4 groups, and each output can be configured for operation with AC or DC voltage. This output block is known as a normally open output block because its contacts are normally open. It can be used in a CPU redundancy setup in a Genius I-O PLC. The relay that the IC660BBR101 output block uses is a fixed coil and moving armature type of relay. It is well-suited for machine control applications and for working with different types of low-power devices. It can tolerate an operating frequency in the range of 47 to 63 Hertz.
The GE Fanuc Genius I-O IC660BBR101 16-channel normally open output block is suitable for use in all standard, non-hazardous industrial environments. It can tolerate atmospheres with relative humidity levels between 5% and 95% in operation and in storage, as long as the humidity never condenses. The operating temperature range for the IC660BBR101 16-channel output block is between 0 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius or 32 degrees Fahrenheit and 140 degrees Fahrenheit. When it is not being used, this 16-channel normally open output block can tolerate an ambient temperature range between -40 degrees Celsius and 100 degrees Celsius or -40 degrees Fahrenheit and 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Devices that are compatible with the IC660BBR101 16-channel output block are devices with voltage ranges of 5 to 250 Volts AC or of 5 to 220 Volts DC.
