GENIUS Electronic Assembly for BBA020 24/48VDC Analog I/O (EBA Only) IC IC660EB IC660EBA
The GE Fanuc IC660EBA020 analog block electronic assembly for the Genius I/O system. This electronic assembly contains the block’s microprocessor and it also performs all the block's communications, data storage, computation, and other related functions. All Genius I/O blocks require a terminal assembly, and together with an electronic assembly like the IC660EBA020 analog block electronic assembly, these components make up the complete Genius I/O block system. The terminal assembly provides a base for all the field-side wiring, including connections to the field input devices, handheld monitors, and bus cables, and it also houses the EEPROM where all the block’s configuration settings are stored.
The IC660EBA020 electronic assembly is part of a 24/48 Volts DC voltage/current analog I/O block with 2 independent output channels and 4 independent input channels. Each circuit channel is designed to accept signals in any of the following ranges (0 to 10 Volts DC, -10 to +10 Volts DC, -5 to +5 Volts DC, 0 to 5 Volts DC, or 4 to 20 milliamps/1 to 5 Volts DC). These signal ranges offer flexibility for use with a wide range of analog I/O devices. The IC660EBA020 electronic assembly supports software configuration and it offers advanced diagnostic features. The configurable control and diagnostics features include independent scaling for each I/O signals, an adjustable filter time of up to 1024 milliseconds, enabling and disabling of the fault reporting to the host controller, the selection of the alarm status or normal analog input operation mode, high/low input alarm detection, and open-wire detection. The IC660EBA020 electronic assembly is installed on the terminal assembly, and it can be replaced easily without needing to reconfigure the whole block.
The final letter in the part number (ex. IC660EBA020K) indicates the revision. Revision K or later use the newer style electronic housing and therefore needs the newer style plastic door and may indicate some compatibility issues with the terminal strip.
