Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC660EBA103 input block is a thermocouple input block that is manufactured as part of the GE Genius I/O series. This module is primarily designed to be used to monitor the temperature with the various thermocouples connected to the inputs. It is also ideal for the measuring of the input signals of a low-level voltage source. There are 2 types of thermocouple blocks that differ by the power supply only. Some notable features of the IC660EBA103 thermocouple block include 6 input circuits in 3 separate groups. For each of the 2 points in a group, the maximum common-mode voltage that is allowed is +/- 10 Volts. Additionally, each of the groups features 2 thermocouple input circuits as well as 2 remote cold junction reparation inputs. It provides cold junction compensation for every thermocouple input measurement. The block has a group to group isolation voltage rating of 300 Volts.

 

The GE Fanuc IC660EBA103 thermocouple input block has a block power rating of 115 Volts AC/125 Volts DC or 24/48 Volts DC with a heat dissipation rating of 9 Watts maximum. It also has 1500 Volts of block isolation and a weight of about 1.8 kilograms. This module has dimensions of 8.83 x 3.34 x 3.91 inches. The GE Fanuc IC660EBA103 thermocouple input block is designed and intended to perform diagnostic functions such as high and low input alarms and detection, open-wire detection, internal fault detection, and over-range input detection. This block is compatible with the GE IC697 series, the IC550 series, and the IC600 series of devices, among others.

 The final letter in the part number (ex. IC660EBA103K) indicates the revision. Revision K or later use the newer style electronic housing and therefore needs the newer style plastic door and may indicate some compatibility issues with the terminal strip.
