The Genius I/O IC660EBA104 block is a current source analog I/O block that is used to interface the controller to devices that accept or provide analog signals of between 4 and 20 milliamps. This electronic block is a product of GE Fanuc as part of the Genius I/O series. There are 2 versions of the current source analog input and output blocks, one of which is rated at 115 Volts AC and the other of which is rated at 24/48 Volts DC. They are similar in make, structure, and everything else except for the power supply. Some of the features of the IC660EBA104 current source analog I/O block include isolated channels, advanced diagnostics, and software configuration. The block features a dedicated bus switching module control, and no user-calibration required for its operation.
The Genius I/O IC660EBA104 block also has 6 analog circuits rated at 4 to 20 milliamps, with 2 outputs and 4 inputs. Each input offers a current loop power rating of 24 Volts and it is isolated from all the other circuits in a block. The GE Fanuc IC660EBA104 I/O block has a wide range of specifications that enables it to provide excellent performance. It has an output resolution of 6 µA, an over-range capacity of 0 to 24 milliamps, and an output load of 0 to 850 ohms. The block operates in an environmental temperature range of 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and it can be stored in a temperature range of -40 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. It comes with a maximum vibration rating of 1 G at 10 to 200 Hertz.
The final letter in the part number (ex. IC660EBA104K) indicates the revision. Revision K or later use the newer style electronic housing and therefore needs the newer style plastic door and may indicate some compatibility issues with the terminal strip.
