IC660EPM100 is a Genius Power Track Block that used in different types of industrial and power monitoring applications. The IC660EPM100 power block automatically provides the operator with displays on a Genius handheld monitor. The IC660EPM100 power supply accepts either 115/230 VAC or 125 VDC inputs. Its software can be configured by the host or via the handheld monitor (HHM).

IC660EPM100 monitors current and voltage inputs and stores digitized waveform values for each input. IC660EPM100 calculates kilowatt hours, current, active power, RMS voltage, reactive power, and power factor from the digitized waveform values. Calculated data is then automatically sent by the IC660EPM100 to a host PLC or computer approximately two times per second. The Genius HHM can also display the same data, either locally or from any connection point on the bus.

The IC660EPM100 can couple with a delta configured 3-phase power system or with a single phase power system. IC660EPM100 accepts voltage inputs from 1-3 potential transformers and current inputs from up to three line current transformers, plus a neutral current transformer. The IC660EPM100 can be installed on a Genius bus up to 7500 feet from the host computer or PLC. It can be used in stand-alone applications without a host.

IC660EPM100 has a terminal assembly and an electronics assembly. The terminal assembly is where all fixed wiring is attached. The electronics assembly can be inserted or removed without disturbing configuration of the block. Inputs from transformers, both current and potential, are wired to the terminal assembly. The terminal assembly is mounted permanently. LEDs on the front of the electronics assembly indicate the status of the block and the communications bus. This location is also home to a convenient connector for the HHM.

The GE Fanuc IC660EPM100 module is an electronics assembly from the Genius I/O series. This electronics assembly is designed to be connected to a compatible terminal assembly in order to function as a complete terminal base for a Genius I/O module. The IC660EPM100 electronics assembly cannot function by itself, it cannot be a complete terminal base by itself, and the terminal assembly that it needs to connect to is sold separately. The purpose of the IC660EPM100 electronics assembly is to perform the logic functions and mathematical functions for a Genius I/O module. It is easy to install this electronics assembly on the terminal assembly, and easy to remove it as well because it will not interfere with the I/O module’s wiring since the wiring connections are all made to the terminal assembly.


The operating temperature range for the GE Fanuc Genius I/O IC660EPM100 electronics assembly is from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius or 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and its storage temperature range is from -40 to 100 degrees Celsius or -40 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, the IC660EPM100 electronics assembly can tolerate 5 to 95% relative humidity without condensation in both operation and storage. The electronics that this assembly contains include the electronics that the I/O block installed on it uses for communication. The power system that the IC660EPM100 electronics assembly uses can be either a single-phase power system or a 3-phase power system. This electronics assembly comes with LED status indicators for itself and the I/O block and it has a port for connecting to a handheld monitor.

 The final letter in the part number (ex. IC660EPM100K) indicates the revision. Revision K or later use the newer style electronic housing and therefore needs the newer style plastic door and may indicate some compatibility issues with the terminal strip.
