GENIUS Terminal Assembly for (TBD Only) TBD110 for IC660BBD110 IC660T IC660TB IC660TBD
The IC660TBD110 Terminal Assembly belongs to the GE Fanuc Genius I/O series of modules. It comes with screw type terminals which accept a single wire with a gauge up to AWG #14. It acts as the wiring base for various field control I/O modules. This module is slotted to allow for the keying of the compatible electronics assembly. It operates reliably in an ambient temperature range from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. It offers an EEPROM unit that can be used to store the configuration details of an application. The IC660TBD110 Terminal Assembly is a box style module which comes with a compact design. It ensures a simple wiring process to provide reduced wiring and installation costs.
The IC660TBD110 Terminal Assembly is specifically designed for use with an IC660BBD110 input block and an IC660EBD110 electronics assembly. Terminals 5 to 32 are reserved for connecting the field devices to the block. Terminals 1 and 2 can be used for connecting serial devices and Terminals 3 and 4 are reserved for shield in and shield out connections, respectively. The approximate weight of the IC660TBD110 Terminal Assembly is 2 pounds. The minimum recommended size for the wires is AWG #20. It accepts a 115 Volts AC source as the power supply. During the power supply wiring, connect the positive side of the source to the H terminal and the neutral to the N terminal. The configuration settings such as the device number, baud rate, input filter time, and reference address are stored inside the terminal assembly. The permanent bus connections can be made directly to the terminal assembly. In order to remove the terminal assembly while maintaining the integrated data on the bus, an intermediate connector must be used.
The IC660TBD110 terminal block is a terminal block for a 16-circuit terminal assembly. It is equipped with a 115 Volts AC voltage supply and the circuits of the assembly are discrete. They are isolated from one another and have an isolation voltage rating of 1500 Volts rms. This compact terminal assembly weighs 1.8 kilograms and it has a compact form factor. With normal operation, it dissipates 28 Watts of heat when all the 16 inputs are active. The terminal frequency with 16 active circuits ranges between 47 and 63 Hertz. It requires 80 milliamps of block current and an additional 200 milliamps of input circuit current to operate. There is a drop out in the power supply with each cycle. The IC660TBD110 terminal block is certified with different industrial standards. All of the 16 circuits have their own individual LEDs that illuminate when a circuit is active. A programmer port is present in the terminal to connect a human-machine interface module for easy programming.
The IC660TBD110 terminal block comes with diagnostic features that can detect open wire situations and short circuit situations in the terminal. The alarm function can be set to sound alarms for different events by the operators. In the case of open wire detection, 3 voltage levels that are made to sense the on, off, or open wire are activated. The alarm function should be added across the terminals during the installation process. The installation of the IC660TBD110 terminal block is easy. The threshold value and the resistor values can be adjusted as needed. The terminal block has the ability to sample an input for the time configured for that filter. The block can easily recognize if an input is in an active or passive mode.
The final letter in the part number (ex. IC660TBD110K) indicates the revision. Revision K or later use the newer style electronic housing and therefore needs the newer style plastic door and may indicate some compatibility issues with the terminal strip.
