The IC660TBR101 Terminal Assembly is a Genius I/O series product that is designed for use with the IC660BBR101 Relay Output Block. It comes with 115/230 Volts AC voltage, a box-style design, IC660BBR101 relay output block compatibility, and it weighs 2 pounds. Some of the main features of this module include configuration flexibility, reduced installation costs, circuit protection, and advanced diagnostics. All the field wiring of the relay output module is done through this terminal assembly. Even though the IC660TBR101 Terminal Assembly is permanently installed with the block once they are attached, its electronics assembly can be removed without changing the field wiring.
The IC660TBR101 Terminal Assembly is compatible with the IC660EBR101 Electronics Assembly. It has 32 screw-type terminals. The terminals use AWG #22 to AWG #12 wires for the field wiring. It can provide the required power to the relay output block by using a 115 Volts AC or 230 Volts AC power source. The power source voltage is jumper-selectable. However, additional care must be taken when using the jumper to avoid damages to the block. The operating temperature range of the IC660TBR101 Terminal Assembly is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. Since the relay output block does not have internal fuses, external 2-Amp fuses can be installed to protect the load. Terminals 5 to 32 are reserved for field device connections. Terminals 3 and 4 are labeled as Shield 1 and Shield 2, respectively. The shield out terminal is directly connected to the chassis ground. This terminal assembly module makes field wiring easy.
The IC660TBR101 block is a GE terminal block. This block is one of the main components of a complete I/O block. The block comes with 16 circuit relay outputs that are placed in groups of 4. All 4 of the circuits share a common input terminal. The terminal block is 8.83 inches in height, 3.50 inches in width, and 3.94 inches in depth. It is lightweight and weighs only 4 pounds. This terminal assembly is used with an open relay output block with an open architecture. The assembly can be mounted both vertically and horizontally depending on the installation area. The top section on the front side has a port to connect hand held monitor and programming terminals.
The IC660TBR101 terminal block has a current rating of 87 milliamps with a voltage of 115/230 Volts AC. For installation, the environmental temperature should be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius and the assembly can be stored at a temperature between -40 and 100 degrees Celsius. The IC660TBR101 terminal block has LED indicators for individual circuits that show the flow of power through them. There is also the “Unit OK” LED. The operating frequency of the terminal is 50/60 Hertz. The drop out time of the power supply is 1 cycle and it has an isolation rating of 1500 Volts AC for output to chassis. The IC660TBR101 terminal block should work with a minimum load of 10 milliamps with an output off-state leakage current of 0.1 Amps.
The final letter in the part number (ex. IC660TBR101K) indicates the revision. Revision K or later use the newer style electronic housing and therefore needs the newer style plastic door and may indicate some compatibility issues with the terminal strip.
