Technical Information

The IC660TSA020 module is an I/O module manufactured by GE Fanuc. The module is designed with 4 independent input circuits and 2 output circuits. This module variant is available in 2 block versions with 115 Volts AC and 24/48 Volts DC voltage variants. Both of these versions are similar to each other except for the power supply. Each of the individual circuits of the module can accept and offer signals in different voltage and current ranges. Additional resistance can be used to interface with the block to add loop devices and various signal ranges. The IC660TSA020 module has a small size and it saves a significant amount of space inside the PLC system. It is 8.83 inches in height, 3.50 inches in width, and 3.94 inches in depth. It weighs around 4 pounds. 

 

The 3 LEDs present on the front side of the IC660TSA020 module are the “Unit OK,” “I/O Enabled,” and the “Power Flow” LEDs. Each of the individual inputs and outputs also have their own LEDs. The module comes with 12-bit resolution that updates every 4 milliseconds. The IC660TSA020 module makes use of the diagnostics feature that can detect underrange and overrange situations. The thermal drift at 25 degrees Celsius is 10 PPM per degree Celsius and a maximum of 40 PPM per degree Celsius. The module has an absolute accuracy of 0.2% at full scale. The module supports field wiring using AWG 14 wires. During installation, the power source should be turned off and the module should be well-grounded to prevent damage. The module is equipped with alarms that alert the operators for different events.

The final letter in the part number (ex. IC660TSA020K) indicates the revision. Revision K or later use the newer style electronic housing and therefore needs the newer style plastic door and may indicate some compatibility issues with the terminal strip.
