The GE Fanuc IC660TSA100 Genius I/O Terminal Assembly Module is a single-phase, solid-state electronic wiring module that can be employed in diverse small industrial applications that require the connection of 4 analog inputs to a GE Fanuc Series 90-70 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). It also has 2 analog outputs for the PLC to use to emit a response signal. The GE Fanuc IC660TSA100 Genius I/O Terminal Assembly Module needs to be powered directly from a single-phase 115 Volts AC rated utility line, or it can also be powered by a 24 to 48 Volts DC power supply. All of the module ports are identified on the front side of the unit, making the installation process a very intuitive operation. The users just need to select the correct combination of the inputs and outputs, plug in the cables from the field devices, and tighten the screw terminals.

The GE Fanuc IC660TSA100 Genius I/O Terminal Assembly Module’s operating temperature range should remain between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius (32 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit), and if those limits are going to be exceeded regularly, a climate control system should be installed in the panel board. The installation of the unit can be done directly on the panel or a wall or by using a DIN rail. The GE Fanuc IC660TSA100 Genius I/O Terminal Assembly Module has been designed to operate directly in the field, under moderately severe industrial and environmental conditions, such as a constant vibration of 5 to 10 Hertz with 0.2 inches of displacement, but should never be exposed directly to water or high humidity.

Technical Information

The IC660TSA100 block is a GE Fanuc manufactured I/O block. This block is a  terminal assembly built with 4 inputs and 2 outputs. Both the inputs and outputs are independent of each other. These I/O blocks work with different ranges of voltage and current. The voltage rating of the terminal assembly is 115 Volts AC and 24/48 Volts DC. The common mode rejection of the block is 60 dB. The block to block isolation of the module is 1500 Volts maximum. The IC660TSA100 block has a single 12-bit resolution (with 4 milliseconds of update time) analog to digital converter that converts the input signals to a digital value. The module has an accuracy rating of 0.5% when the reading is done at 25 degrees Celsius. The module is certified with several industrial and environmental standards. 


The IC660TSA100 block’s frequency rating is set at 50 to 60 Hertz. LED indicators are present on the front of the module that indicate the flow of power through the circuit, activity at the I/O, and connection with the I/O circuit. The module has built-in diagnostics features. A port for connecting monitoring devices is also present. Programmer devices and handheld terminals can be easily connected by using this port. Serial Ports 1 and 2 provide additional connection points along with the Shield In and Shield Out ports in the front face. The IC660TSA100 block can be used in an environment with an ambient temperature between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius with non-condensing ambient humidity. The IC660TSA100 block is able to withstand a vibration of 5 to 10 Hertz with 0.2 inches of displacement.

The final letter in the part number (ex. IC660TSA100K) indicates the revision. Revision K or later use the newer style electronic housing and therefore needs the newer style plastic door and may indicate some compatibility issues with the terminal strip.
