The Normally Open (NO) expansion module that is known as the ST-2748 expansion module is a product of Beijer Electronics and it is manufactured with 8 relay outputs with a maximum power rating of 250 Volts AC at 2.0 Amps. It is I/O enabled and it features a removable terminal block and a cage clamp as an I/O connector. The ST-2748 expansion module measures 24 x 99 x 70 millimeters in dimensions and it weighs 200 grams. It can be mounted by using a DIN rail measuring 35 millimeters in length for standard mounting setups. It has 9 LED indicators that are divided into 8 green output indicators and 1 red bus state indicator. The environmental conditions for safe device storage are a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius at a relative humidity level of 5 to 90 percent (non-condensing). The operating temperature ranges between -20 and 55 degrees Celsius with the same relative humidity levels that are supported for device storage. The initial contact resistance rating is 20 Ohms.
At 5 Volts DC, the current consumption rating of the ST-2748 expansion module is 235 milliamps. The relay output configuration on the module allows for an output voltage rating of 110 Volts AC at 0.5 Amps of resistive current, 250 Volts AC at 2.0 Amps of resistive current, and 5 to 28.8 Volts DC at 2.0 Amps of resistive current, and 48 Volts DC at 0.8 Amps of resistive current with a system power dissipation rating of 1.8 milliamps maximum at 5 Volts DC. The time taken by the ST-2748 module to power on is 10 milliseconds, and this time is also known as the output delay. It takes the same amount of time to power off. When DC power is applied across the conductor, the maximum current allowed through the relay is rated at 2 Amps.
