GE ST3808 RSTi analog input module 8 Channels, Thermocouple Connector Type GE-IP
The GE Fanuc ST-3808 thermocouple module is an 8-channel analog thermocouple input module from the GE RSTi distributed I/O system. This module provides 8 isolated input circuits with built-in CJC for effective measurement of temperature signals, and unlike other I/O modules in its family, it requires a connector that is a Hirose type of connector known as the HIF3BA-20D2.54C for wiring. The ST-3808 thermocouple module has 8 individually numbered LEDs that show the input point status updates and 1 LED light for the module’s status. This module has an easy-to-remove type of terminal block with a simplified push and release spring clamp terminal for a simplified module wiring process.
The ST-3808 thermocouple module has 8 individually-isolated input channels which accept thermocouple inputs (Type K, Type J, Type T, Type B, Type R, Type S, Type E, Type N, Type L, Type U, Type C, and Type D) or millivolt inputs (1.0 millivolt/Bit, 2 millivolt/Bit, and 10 millivolt/Bit). These inputs also have built-in cold junction compensation (CJC) with a cold junction temperature measurement range of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius and conversion time of 30 milliseconds. The ST-3808 thermocouple module does not require field calibration, and it comes with built-in diagnostics features that ensure optimum operation. Each ST-3808 thermocouple module’s input channels has a resolution of +/-0.1 degrees Celsius/Fahrenheit, and it transmits analog input in the 16 bits Integer (2's compliment) data format. The ST-3808 analog input module uses the system power supply for operation and it draws 140 milliamps of maximum current (at 5.0 Volts DC) from the backplane. It has photo-coupler isolation between the I/O and control logic.
