GE ST4522 RSTi analog output module 2 Channels, -10+10Vdc, 12-bit GE-IP
The ST-4522 module from GE Fanuc is a 2-channel output module. The ST-4522 output module supports analog output voltages ranging from -10 to 10 Volts DC. The resolution of the output channels is 12 bits. Pins 0 and 1 on the module correspond to output channels 0 and 1 respectively. Pins 2 and 3 are not connected. Pins 4 and 5 are output channel common pins rated at 0 Volts. Pins 6 and 7 are chassis ground/shield pins. One LED on the module’s front panel indicates the module’s operating status. Two LEDs are also provided on the front panel of the ST-4522 output module to display the status of the individual output channels. The ST-4522 output module is compatible with the GE Fanuc PACSystems RSTi distributed I/O system.
Distributed I/O systems such as the PACSystems RSTi system offer multiple benefits over centralized I/O systems, including less noise interference, reduced cost of cabling, and lower labor and commodity costs. Distributed I/O also reduces the risk of mixing low and high voltage signals. The profinet I/O network further reduces costs and complexity by enabling the use of one Ethernet cable instead of multiple wires in a single central location. The ST-4522 output module is certified by UL/cUL and CE standards and it conforms to the EN-61000-6-2 and EN-61000-6-4 standards. The vibration rating for the module is 0.012 inches peak to peak at 10 to 57 Hertz. The working temperature range for the ST-4522 output module is from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and the non-operating temperature range is from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. GE recommends installing the module at an altitude below 2000 meters.
