Technical Information

The ST-7108 module is a distribution module that has 8 I/O points. The module is designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc and it is used as a component of a PACSystems RSTi setup. This system is an industrial control solution that meets and surpasses multiple industry standards. The PACSystems RSTi system is built on granular I/O based on PROFINET and advanced technology that ensure maximum performance and a long operating life. The RSTi family of products offers easy configuration processes, hassle-free maintenance, and top-quality materials for safe use in industrial environments. These systems are relatively small and they are made for simple panel designs that reduce overall costs. The PACSystems RSTi system is easily upgradeable and it is very versatile. In addition to that, these innovative systems are reliable and designed with safety features that ensure operation at a high level.

 

The ST-7108 module is intended for use with field devices and it does not have bus ID type support. This means that the module does not occupy an address on the bus. The manufacturer provides a different model that uses a bus ID to occupy an address on the bus. The ST-7108 module has a maximum field power contacts current rating of 10 Amps and it does not include any LED indicators. Some modules from the series come with green and red LEDs. Typically, these LED indicators indicate the module status. The ST-7108 module has a weight of 65 grams (0.14 pounds) and it uses an I/O cable with a maximum gauge of AWG 14. The ST-7108 module has a field power voltage rating of 0 Volts DC but the manufacturer also provides models with different voltage ratings if necessary.
