Technical Information

The GE Fanuc booster module with the catalog number ST-7111 is part of the PACSystems RSTi system along with other components such as analog inputs and outputs, discrete inputs and outputs, different network interfaces, serial communications modules, motion modules, and other system modules. The ST-7111 booster module is a system module of the non-ID type. This means that the module does not use a module address. This power booster module has a maximum Fn-Bus output voltage of 5 Volts DC and a current rating of 1 Amp. The field power contacts current is a maximum of 10 Amps for this module and also for other system modules from the series.

The ST-7111 module has a system input voltage range of 11 Volts DC to 28.8 Volts DC and it features 24 Volts DC of system power input voltage. Also, the field power input voltage is 24 Volts DC (20%). Besides that, the ST-7111 booster module has 2 green LED indicators for showing the input state and it weighs around 70 grams (0.15 pounds). The cable wiring of the module should be done with a 2.0 I/O cable or an AWG 14 type of cable. GE Fanuc offers other system modules that have both green and red indicators and also models without any indicators. These modules are categorized into 2 categories: the ID type and non-ID type. The ST-7111 module has a single channel and it is basically an expansion power supply module. The role of the module is to provide a designated voltage at 1 Amp of current to modules located on the right side of the system.
