Technical Information

The STXPBS016 module is an RSTi Profibus module with 16 relay outputs that is manufactured by Emerson/GE Fanuc as a compact industrial output solution. It is easy to manage, upgrade, and configure. This RSTi module is Ethernet-based, and it can handle the massive amounts of data that are generated by the primary devices in the system and still provide the highest communication speed. This module's innovative design enhances the connectivity, continuity, control, and collaboration of the entire system. The most important attribute of this system is that it is a slave module with an integrated I/O profibus feature that is used to ensure uninterrupted operation. The STXPBS016 module receives messages from the bus and field devices frequently to ensure the stability of the system and allow for quick intervention in case of errors.

 

Additionally, the STXPBS016 module is an RSTi Profibus module that is equipped with Single-Post-Single-Throw (SPST) relay outputs which run with a maximum load current of 2 Amps when the voltage is between 5 and 24 Volts DC or 250 Volts AC. This product is intended for industrial applications and equipment only in environments with ambient temperatures ranging between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius. The STXPBS016 module uses a COM terminal for most applications, and a positive and negative terminal can be incorporated on either end. The NO and COM terminals have maximum continuity whenever the COIL terminals are energized. The -COIL terminal is for the end of the terminal and the +COIL terminal is for the other end, the NO is for the normal open switch, and the COM is for the common relay. These terminals make it easier to make connections to the module.
