The IC694MDL230 is 120-volt, 8-point Isolated Input Module manufactured by GE Fanuc belonging to the RX3i PACSystems series. Each of the eight points is powered separately by an AC source. The input voltage range spans from 0 to 132 VAC running at an input current of 14.5 mA with a frequency of 50/60 Hz. With all inputs turned ON, the module’s power consumption is 60 mA provided by a 5 VDC bus located on the backplane.
The IC694MDL230 has reactive input circuits, meaning the circuits are comprised of both resistors and capacitors. The module’s input characteristics allow compatibility with variety of devices such as limit switches, push buttons, and proximity switches. Power for the IC694MDL230 is supplied by the user. It is important to note that the module runs only on AC power; DC power is not applicable.
The module has eight green LEDs located on the block, which are used to indicate the ON or OFF status of the eight points. Red bands on the block warn the user that the IC694MDL230 is a high voltage input module. The module is installable on any slot in the Rx3i system.
