Product Description

The IC694MDL340 is a 120 VAC, 0.5 amp output module with 16 output points manufactured by GE Fanuc for the Rx3i PACSystem. The 16 points are in two groups of eight. Each group is powered by its own common, but the commons are distinct and not connected. Each group of the IC694MDL340 output module can be powered from the same supply or used in a different phase. Both groups are protected from potential power surges by a 3 amp fuse. Each output is also equipped with an RC snubber that eliminates noise that may exist on the power line.

This module provides a high degree of inrush current, which allows the outputs to control a variety of inductive and incandescent loads. Required AC Power to operate loads must be user-supplied. Individually numbered LEDs on the front of the IC694MDL340 module share valuable info such as output performance and blown fuses. The red LED labeled “F” turns ON if either of the fuses become non-functional. A load must be connected to the blown fuse for the LED indicator to emit status. Two red bands warn the user of high voltage danger. The IC694MDL340 module can be installed in any RX3i system I/O slot. Its power requirements are 315mA with all outputs ON powered by a 5 volt bus on the backplane. The module’s output voltage range is between 85 to 132 volts AC.

Customer Questions and Answers

  • Question:  What is an IC694MDL340?  Answer:  The IC694MDL340 is a 16-Point, 0.5 Amp, 120 Volt AC, Output module from the GE Fanuc RX3i Series.
  • Question:  What does IC694MDL340 provide?  Answer:  This module provides 16 output points in 2 isolated groups of 8 points.
  • Question:  How many commons are there?  Answer:  Each group has a separate common and the 2 commons are not tied together inside the module.
  • Question:  What can the groups be used on?  Answer:  Used on different phases on the AC supply or powered from the same supply.
  • Question:  Each group is protected with what?  Answer:  Each group is protected with a 3 Amp fuse.
  • Question:  An RC snubber protects against what?  Answer:  An RC snubber protects each output against transient electrical noise on the power line.
  • Question:  IC694MDL340 provides a high degree of inrush current for what reason?  Answer:  IC694MDL340 provides a high degree of inrush current so the outputs can control a wide range of inductive and incandescent loads.
  • Question:  AC power to operate loads connected to outputs must be supplied by what?  Answer:  It must be supplied by the user.
  • Question:  This module requires what kind of power source?  Answer:  AC Power
  • Question:  Individual numbered LEDs show what?  Answer:  Individual numbered LEDs show the ON/OFF status of each output point.
  • Question:  The red LED (F) turns ON when what happens?  Answer:  The red LED turns ON if either of the fuses blow. A load must be connected to the blown fuse for the indicator to light.
  • Question:  The red bands on the label show what?  Answer:  They show that IC694MDL340 is a high-voltage module.
  • Question:  Into what slot can IC694MDL340 be installed?  Answer:  This module can be installed in any I/O slot of an RX3i system.
  • Question:  What should I do if my IC694MDL340 is not working properly?  Answer:  Your IC694MDL340 may need repair
