GE Redundant Power Supply Adapter
The GE Fanuc IC693ACC350 Series 90-30 Power Supply Adapter Module is a redundant power supply adapter for the GE IC639 redundant power supply system. The GE Fanuc IC693 Series 90-30 redundant power supply system comprises the Redundant Power Supply (RPS) baseplate which provides slots for up to 2 power supply modules and the Redundant Power Supply Adapter (RPSA) which is plugged directly into the baseplate’s power supply slot. The IC693ACC350 Power Supply Adapter Module replaces the standard 30 Watts, 24 Volts DC IC693PWR331 High-Capacity Power Supply on the CPU base or expansion base as it connects to a redundant power supply base. The IC693ACC350 Power Supply Adapter Module comes with an integral backup battery and a series port connector which are not functional if they are mounted on the RPS baseplate’s power supplies.
The memory backup battery helps to protect the PLC memory in the event of unplanned power loss, while the 15-pin D-shell serial communication port connector helps to provide standard PLC serial port functionality. The IC693ACC350 Power Supply Adapter Module has a connector that connects to the redundant power supply baseplate’s adapter cable, and it has a “PWR” LED indicator, which indicates that the 5 Volt DC output is active. The IC693ACC350 Power Supply Adapter Module has 5 Volts DC standard output voltage with 30 Watts of power capacity as well as 24 Volts DC relay output with 15 Watts of power capacity and 24 Volts DC isolated output with 20 Watts of power capacity for powering 24 Volt DC I/O modules. The IC693ACC350 has an operating input voltage range of 85 Volts AC to 264 Volts AC or 100 Volts DC to 300 Volts DC, and it can be configured by using the VersaPro 2.00 or later configuration software.
The IC693ACC350 adapter module is a redundant power supply adapter module that is designed by GE Fanuc. It can be plugged into the power supply slot or the leftmost slot of the baseplate in a GE PLC system. The IC693ACC350 redundant power supply adapter module consists of a connector that is able to make connections to the adapter connection cables on the baseplate. This adapter module comes with a RAM backup battery and a serial port connector for proper data storage and communication. The serial port of the module has RS-485 compatibility. The “PWR” LED indicator switches on to indicate whether the power supplies, which are mounted on the RPS baseplate, are working properly.
The IC693ACC350 redundant power supply adapter has connectors that mate with the power output cables of the RPS baseplate. At the adapter end, these output cables split into 2 connectors. A #12 AWG green ground wire is also included in the redundant power cable for grounding purposes. This grounding cable must be connected to the grounding point of the panel. For module configuration, the VersaPro version 2.00 or later software provides a user-friendly configuration screen for selecting the adapter module and filling in the information. The PLC RAM backup battery can be used to protect data and information. This battery must be connected to the RPS adapter module since it does not function from the power supply of the baseplate. The IC693ACC350 redundant power supply adapter comes with a mounting latch for panel mounting purposes. The communication port of the module is a 15-pin D-shell serial communication port connector that offers a standard serial port functionality for PLC based applications.
