Product Description

The IC693MDL241 is a 24-volt AC/DC Positive/Negative Input Module in the Series 90-30 manufactured by GE Fanuc. It features one group with 16 input points, all with one common power input terminal. It is designed to have either positive or negative logic characteristics in the DC input mode.

IC693MDL241 is designed to work with AC or DC user-supplied inputs. Input characteristics are suitable for a variety of user-supplied input devices, such as limit switches, push buttons, and electronic proximity switches. This module has an Input Voltage Range from 0 to +30 volts DC or 0 to +30 volts AC, 50/60 Hz, and an input current of 7 mA (typical) at rated voltage. Its on-state voltage is 11.5 to 30 volts AC or DC, while its off-state is 0 to +4 volts AC or DC. It has a 3.2 mA minimum on-state current, and a 1 mA maximum off-state current. Its typical response time is 12 ms while ON and 28 ms when OFF.

Once current goes through an input point, the result is logic 1 in the input status table (%I). The user can supply the power necessary to operate field devices, or the isolated +24 VDC output on the power supply (bottom two power supply terminals) may be used to power DC inputs. IC693MDL241 features LED lights to indicate ON/OFF status for each point at the top of the module. The LED block has two horizontal rows with eight green LEDs in each. The top LED row is identified with LEDs A1 through 8 (indicating points 1 to 8), and the bottom row LEDs are identified B1 through 8 (for points 9 to 16).

IC693MDL241 features an insert that separates the inside and outside surface of its hinged door. When this door is closed, the surface facing the inside of the module shows circuit wiring information, while on the outside surface, circuit identification information can be recorded. The blue color on the external left edge of the insert indicates a low-voltage module. IC693MDL241 module can be installed in any I/O slot of a 5 or 10-slot baseplate in a Series 90-30 PLC system
