Product Description

The GE Fanuc IC693MDL630 is a Discrete I/O Module of GE Fanuc series 90-30 PLCs. It is an 8-point, 24VDC Positive Logic module. It provides eight discrete inputs driven by positive logic. There are six types of I/O modules for series 90-30 of GE Fanuc PLCs. These are either Discrete or Analog modules. Analog modules can be of Analog input type only, Analog output only, or a combination of input/output channels. Discrete modules with input function come with 8, 16 or 32 points. Discrete output modules come with 5 to 32 points. Discrete combination modules, like the GE Fanuc IC693MDL630 I/O module, have a combination of inputs and outputs on their faceplate. 

The GE Fanuc IC693MDL630 Discrete I/O Module receives power from the field processor, but it needs an additional 24VDC power supply to power input devices. It also deploys an LED that shows the circuit status. The module attaches to the baseplate and secures on a module slot with two latches. Power supply must not be connected when installing a module.  At the top of the GE Fanuc IC693MDL630 Discrete I/O Module, there are status LEDs that have letters and numbers of each I/O point, enabling the user to identify problems associated with a specific I/O point. Each module has a hinged door with wiring information for the module. The color of the left side of the door is red for AC, blue for DC, and gray for signal level modules. This helps distinguish different modules.
