The GE Fanuc 90-30 Series IC693MDL740 is a 12/24 positive logic DC output module. This model possesses positive logic so that the module sources current from the positive power bus terminal or the common user to the required loads. The output electronic device is placed in between the output module and the power bus. The rated voltage required for the IC693MDL750 module is 12/24 volts DC, and the output current is a maximum of 0.5 amps per point with a maximum of 2 amps per common. 

The IC693MDL740 is designed with 16 common points separated into two equal groups. Each group has eight output points and a common output pin. The module’s architecture has a hinged door in which an insert may be placed in between the outside and inside surfaces. When this door is closed, the inside surface of the hinged door contains the wiring information of the circuit whereas outside surface has the identification information about the circuit. The blue color on the left side of insert indicates that IC63MDL740 module is a low voltage module.

The IC693MDL740 has an LED indicator which communicates the status of the circuit. The LED indicator contains two horizontal rows with green LED lights, of which the top row is labeled as A1 and bottom row as B1.

The field device used with this module is operated by the external power supply. This may be installed into any of the input or output slots of a 90-30 Programmable logic control system.
