Product Description

The IC693MDL916 is a 16-Point, 4 Amp, Isolated Relay Output module from the GE Fanuc Series 90-30. This module provides 16 Form A relays for controlling output loads provided by the user. The 16 output points are divided into two groups of eight with a common power output terminal for each group. The IC693MDL916 is characterized by four amps isolated relay with a normally opened terminal (NO). The DC voltage range is from 5-125 VDC (5/24/125 VDC nominal), whereas voltage ranges from 5-250 VAC (120-240 VAC nominal) at a frequency of 47-63 Hz. The maximum internal power used from the backplane is 300 mA at 5 VDC. The normal response time for this module is 10ms. The load current required is 4.0 A per point but only one point per common.

The output module IC693MDL916 requires a high-density terminal block. Hence, the isolated relay and the requirement of high-density terminal makes this module unique. When switching inductive loads, the relay contact point approaches resistive contact points. At this point, the suppression circuit application activates. The suppression circuit will be different for both AC and DC supply. The 1A, 200V diode is used in DC typical suppression, which is an industrial standard. The resistor and capacitor are standard components for AC typical suppression. The output module IC693MDL916 act as an interface between the Programmable logic controller and output devices (external) such as interposing relays, contractors, indicator lamps and BCD displays. The connector used in this module are IC694TBBx32 or IC694TBSx32.
