The IC697MDL241 is a 240 VAC Discrete Input Module manufactured by GE Fanuc.
Highlighted features of this module include 16 individually isolated points, a 20 ms input filter, and proximity switch compatibility. The IC697MDL241 module is designed for use with a PLC (proximity logic controller). Each isolated input can be used on a separate phase of the AC supply.

The input is reactive with IEC standard current-voltage characteristics. Characteristics are compatible with a variety of proximity switches. The IC697MDL241 module is equipped with LED indicators, which show the ON-OFF status of each point on the logic side of the circuit. These can be found at the top of the module. The IC697MDL241 is mechanically keyed to maintain correct replacement with a similar type in the field. I/O references are configurable by the user and DIP switches or jumpers are not needed. Configuration is completed via the configuration function of MS-DOS or Windows programming software running on Windows 95 or Windows NT over Ethernet TCP/IP or through the SNP port. Programming Software configuration functionality is conveniently preinstalled.

The IC697MDL241 is compatible with an array of input devices, including pushbuttons, limit switches, and selector switches, as well as electronic proximity switches, both 2-wire and 3-wire. Input circuitry is capacitive to ensure low heat dissipation, which contributes to the module’s reliability and extended life. Input current characteristics provide 10mA typically in the ON state and can sink up to 5mA of leakage current when OFF. The module is compatible with a variety of 2- and 3-wire proximity switches.
