The IC697PWR721 designed by GE is a 24 VDC Power Supply Module with Adapter
. The module is intended for 90W with a nominal rated voltage of 24 volts DC. Input voltage ranges from +21 to +32 VDC and at a maximum load of 156 watts of input power. The IC697PWR721 can be attached to the left side of the rack, or it can be mounted as a stand-alone unit.
The IC697PWR721 module can be applied in a single rack application, but if the total load is within the supply rating, the module can be used to produce power to a second rack. Interconnections for the second rack are processed using a prewired cable. Protection is provided for both overcurrent and overvoltage fault conditions.

This power supply module must be connected to a Power Supply Adapter (IC697PWR720), which plugs into the power supply slot in an IC697CHS* rack. The PSA connects the power supply outputs to the IC697CHS* rack backplane and monitors the TTL signal, as well as the +5V, to deliver logic level sequencing signals to the backplane. The physical connection from the power supply to the PSA is through a cable connected to the power supply at the factory. As mentioned, the IC697PWR721 module operates from a 24 VDC power source, which can range from +21 to +32 VDC. This module is equipped with overvoltage protection, and outputs will be turned off by the circuit if voltage is exceeded. Once voltage is corrected, the power supply will reset automatically.
