The Emerson IC200UEX264 VersaMax Micro 64-point Expansion Card is a solid-state, microprocessor-based, I/O expansion card for the VersaMax Micro Programmable Logic Controllers product family that expands the number of connection points available in the system up to 40 discrete 24 Volts DC rated inputs and twenty-four 24 Volts DC rated source outputs. It is the biggest expansion card in its product family and its processing power can be expanded even further by incorporating up to 4 additional expansion cards. The Emerson IC200UEX264 VersaMax Micro 64-point Expansion Card allows the users to add variables into the system, and it can read discrete signals such as limit switches, photocells, signals from push buttons, and pressure switches and it can send out control signals for field devices such as motor controllers and solenoid valves.
The Emerson IC200UEX264 VersaMax Micro 64-point Expansion Card can be easily configured by the users via software known as the PAC Machine Edition software, or by inserting a flash program memory card (hot swap operations are allowed). Serial communication protocols such as Modbus can be implemented with the Emerson IC200UEX264 VersaMax Micro 64-point Expansion Card serving as the Master module, as a Modbus Slave module, or as a Modbus TCP server by using the RS-232 port provided and a second port (an RS-232, RS-485, USB, or Ethernet port depending on user specifications). The operating temperature should remain between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius (32 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit) at all times. For locations where a higher temperature is expected, it is strongly recommended to use the card in an enclosure with a climate control or forced ventilation system.
