Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC200UMM102 VersaMax MicroMotion Module is a 2-axis servo motion module for the VersaMax Micro control system. This module provides independent motion control in a VersaMax Micro PLC or a wide variety of other host controller systems. The VersaMax MicroMotion modules are available in either 24 Volts DC or 110/220 Volts DC modules and both can be DIN Rail-mounted or panel-mounted. The GE VersaMax Micro PLC system can accommodate a maximum of 2 micromotion modules that can act as expansion modules that are directly controlled by the PLC CPU, and the system may also include optional host devices that can also monitor the micromotion modules via the MODBUS RTU protocol. The IC200UMM102 Module features 2 independent motion axes, with built-in I/Os for standard operation, and it comes with built-in memory that can store up to 256 profiles independent of the controller.

 

The IC200UMM102 MicroMotion Module utilizes an AC power source (110/220 Volts AC) with an 85 to 264 Volts AC operating voltage range and about 1500 Volts AC of dielectric withstand between the module’s terminal and ground. The IC200UMM102 MicroMotion Module features 3 standard operating modes; the “homing mode,” the “automatic mode,” and the “manual mode.” In the automatic mode, the control axis motion is determined via the pre-set motion profile, while in the manual mode, the control axis movement is determined by external signals and commands from the controller. In the “homing mode,” the IC200UMM102 MicroMotion Module automatically establishes a home position for each axis and then writes the home position for that axis on the position data (profile). The IC200UMM102 MicroMotion Module is configured by using the MicroMotion setup tool, which provides an intuitive interface for setting up motion parameters, and it is integrated into the Proficy Machine Edition version 5.7 SIM 3 or later software.
