The IC200ALG260 is an 8 channel, 12 Bit, Voltage/Current Analog Input Module from the GE Fanuc Versamax series with eight voltage and current inputs. The analog input module has eight isolated inputs as part of an intelligent module that can accept input signals from up to eight separate analog devices. This module also provides input data with 16 bits of resolution for these devices. In current mode, it may be necessary to supply a separate power supply for isolated inputs. However, additional software configurable parts include per channel selection of 4-20mA current or +/- 10 V voltage inputs, selectable input filter, and pre-channel selection of default values and under/over range levels.
The IC200ALG260 offers eight words of analog input data and reports the under and over range, open wire, loss of power, non-volatile memory fault, and high or low alarm diagnostics. Each of these allows the user to know if a problem has occurred and correct that issue quickly. Additionally, LED indicators are standard for this module.
To install the IC200ALG260, a 24 V power supply must connect to A17 and 18 to function. Current inputs are applied with positive current flow with both negative terminals of the channel connected for top accuracy. If the unit is installed on a terminal style I/O carrier or a compact of the same style, then the cable shield can be directly connected to the carrier in these specific cases. This module is compatible with PLC CPU firmware version 1.20 or later.
|No. of channels:||8 single ended, one group|
|Voltage Range:||-10 to +10 volts DC, 0 - 10 VDC|
|Current Range:||4 - 20 mA|
|Update Rate:||0.4 ms|
|Input Filter Response:||5.0 ms|
|Power Consumption:||130 mA from +5V bus|
The IC200ALG260 Analog Input Module belongs to the GE Fanuc Versamax family of distributed I/O modules. It can receive signals from current and voltage-powered input devices. The number of channels of the module is 8. It does not have an external power supply. The power consumption rating of the module is 130 milliamps from a 5 Volts bus voltage source. The user transceivers must be powered by using an external power source. The IC200ALG260 Analog Input Module has 2 indicator LEDs which are the “INT PWR” LED and the “OK” LED which indicate the presence of internally-generated field power in the analog field-side circuit and the presence of backplane power, respectively.
The IC200ALG260 Analog Input Module has 0.4 milliseconds of rated update time and 5 milliseconds of rated input filter time. Its diagnostic facilities can detect internal power faults in the field side circuits. The voltage and current mode configurations can be done via the 2 jumpers on the carrier terminals. Its analog input data can be configured to hold the last state if a failure occurs. If the module is auto-configured, the default value of the input is 0. The current mode input characteristics of the module include an input current range of 4 to 20 milliamps, an input impedance of 200 Ohms, a resolution of 4 microamps, a filter response time of 5 milliseconds, and an update rate of 0.4 milliseconds per module. It provides an interface to 8 voltage inputs or 8 current inputs. It uses power from the backplane power supply for module operations. The dimensions of the IC200ALG260 module is 4.3 x 2.63 x 1.956 inches. It supports hot insertion (insertion under power). It can be used to expand the input capabilities of a Versamax system.
