IC200MDL643 is a 5/12 VDC Positive Negative Logic Input Module with 16 Points manufactured by GE Fanuc for the VersaMax series. The module provides two sets of eight discrete inputs. Inputs in each set can be either positive logic or negative logic. Positive input logic is capable of receiving current from input devices and returns the current on the common. Negative input logic receives current from the common and returns current to the input device. Input devices are connected between the common terminals and the input terminals. The IC200MDL643 supports both positive and negative logic inputs.
The IC200MDL643 is powered by the backplane, and intelligent processes are performed by the CPU or NIU. Additionally, this module provides 16 bits of discrete input data. Individual green LEDs indicate the on/off state of each input point. Backplane power must be present for the LEDs to function.
The IC200MDL643 has a basic input on/off response time of 0.25 ms. Some applications may, however, require additional filtering. Filtering provides compensation for conditions such as noise spikes or switch bounce.
